Online Counselling & Therapy Sessions Available
MHL now only offers online counselling sessions. This is especially important with recent events surrounding the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
If you have been in contact with anyone, or have recently returned from an affected area identified by the Chief Medical Officer as being at high risk, the advice is to stay at home & self-isolate. Likely symptoms are if you are feeling generally unwell, have a cough, difficulty in breathing or fever etc… much like regular flu.
If you feel you are affected by any of the above & feel at risk but would like to continue or begin counselling, I am able to offer online counselling and therapy services which are in keeping with the recommended guidelines for self-isolation.
Where appropriate, I would be happy to deliver upcoming therapy via Telephone and /or Video Conferencing as detailed below.
In any such telephone / video conferencing scenarios, I would however ask you to consider confidentiality and conduct any such communication from a private room, as if it were being conducted in the same manner as it is in my private consultation room.
If you would like to book or rearrange an already scheduled session then please either;

In case you’re unfamiliar with Zoom, their Getting Started page is here and there are helpful videos by them here. It’s probably a good idea to check these out in advance of a consultation.
You can also join a test meeting to familiarise yourself with Zoom.
Cancellation of Online Sessions
Clients must provide MHL Counselling with at least 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment.
If a client cancels a session with MHL Counselling and does not provide at least 24 hours (1 business day *) notice prior to the time of the appointment, or discontinues a scheduled series of sessions, or is unable to continue a scheduled series of sessions, within the timescale you have agreed, MHL reserve the right to charge the full amount for the cancelled session and reallocate the time slot to another client.
When MHL 24 hours’ notice of cancellation has been given, MHL shall rearrange such appointment with the client for a mutually convenient date and time.
If you are unable to attend your appointment for any reason, then you should tell us as soon as possible and no later than:
– 24 hours before the scheduled start time for appointments of 50 minutes or less
* Please note that Sundays and bank holidays will not be included in these time frames so notice to cancel an appointment scheduled for a Monday or the day after a bank holiday must be given no later than the preceding working day.
All appointments and sessions cancelled later than the 24 hours deadline, allows MHL the right to make a full charge.
